Greek Landscape: Anthology of Texts (Melissa Books)
In the anthology edited by Dimitris Philippides, Xynogala contributes the text “Loutraki’s Natures,” reflecting on a commissioned public project for the municipality of Loutraki. The essay examines the town’s landscape in its past, present and future cultural-ecological form along with proposed public imaginaries. The anthology of texts in the book re-examines landscape;etymologically tied to the notion of place, it has always carried concealed, unspoken extensions—ones only recently explored. Today, discourse around landscape demonstrates vast thematic breadth, as its field continues to expand theoretically, institutionally, and in practice.
